DRU wood fires and stoves division re-branded as DG Fires in the UK

DRU Verwarming BV, which is a leading European manufacturer of contemporary gas and wood burning fires, has announced that its wood fires and stoves have been re-branded as DG Fires in the UK.

DRU acquired the famous Dutch wood stove company Dik Geurts back in 2007. Since then, the production of all Dik Geurts products has been moved to DRU’s central factory at Duiven in the Netherlands, including the development of new models specially designed for the UK fireplace market.

Coming under the banner of DG Fires, the new products include the built-in Instyle and Prostyle ranges. These wood fires have been designed to replicate the look and feel of some of the most popular DRU contemporary gas fires, but with the benefit of clean combustion, high heat outputs and low carbon emissions.

These insert wood fires have sizes from 500 to 700 mm wide, so they can be fitted to a Class 1 UK chimneybreast with minimal building conversion work. The Instyles have visible steel frames, whilst the Prostyles use tinted glass to create a frameless effect, helping to set off the impressive flame pictures generated by the advanced wood burning technology of the fires.

In addition, DG Fires produces a wide range of contemporary freestanding or wall-mounted wood stoves such as the cubic shaped Bora and the landscape shaped Vidar, which is available in 1-side and 3-sided versions.

As well as the standard sized models, DG wood fires and stoves can also be made to a customer’s precise specifications, something that is unique in the UK fireplace industry.

In order to support its retailers, DRU has developed an exclusive ‘shop-in-shop’ concept for DG Fires, with point of sale material that is both inspiring and informative about the benefits of wood burning fires.

DG Fires are already available from many DRU fireplace retailers throughout the UK. In addition, DRU is actively recruiting specialist wood fires and stoves dealers in areas where they are not currently represented.

Commenting on the re-branding, DRU UK General Manager Niall Deiraniya said:

‘2014 will be an exciting year for DRU. As well as our established gas fires, we can now offer a comprehensive range of wood burning products under the new brand of DG Fires. Together with our renowned customer service, rapid delivery times and marketing expertise, we expect to receive an enthusiastic response from retailers and consumers.’
