The book on restoring furniture

It had long been obvious that there was not a comprehensive book on the subject of antique furniture restoration that had both been photographed and written by a commercial workshop.

After being approached by a publishing house we agreed to produce such a book: The Complete Guide to Repairing and Restoring Furniture.

With over 1,000 colour photographs and seventy five thousand words the book covers all aspects of restoration including polishing, upholstery, gilding, caning, cabinet making and carving. Also included is a history of furniture and its construction along with styles and type of antique furniture.

Its interest is not only confined to the student of restoration as it has now become a must have reference book for the library of collectors of antique furniture and as such has now been translated into several languages.
