DTZ appointed to market Castlefield landmark

DTZ has been appointed by Bluetree Estates to market the historic Grade II listed Castlefield Chapel in Castlefield, Manchester. The 12,000 sq ft (1,115 sq m) self-contained building, a former congregational chapel built in the 1850s by prominent Victorian architect Edward Walters, is available to buy or lease. Castlefield ChapelRob Yates, DTZ’s office agency director in Manchester, says: “This landmark building has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment to provide striking contemporary office accommodation. While the end product is truly individual, the flexibility of the accommodation, which incorporates air conditioning and full access raised floors, is what a modern day occupier would expect.”

The BREEAM Excellent refurbishment is Cat 5 cabled throughout and benefits from 17 secure on site car parking spaces. Once used as a recording studio by music industry legend Pete Waterman, its conversion by OMI Architects was completed in 2009.

Rob continued: “The opportunity to acquire a building of this size is truly unique. Due to the lack of new development, we anticipate strong demand. The building offers occupiers a superb address and an excellent working environment. The accommodation is available for immediate occupation.”

The property was left vacant after the digital media agency Amaze relocated to larger premises. TFC are the joint letting agents.
