Firex International returns to London for 2015

FIREX International 2015 will open its doors from 16-18 June 2015 at London’s ExCeL, offering fire and security professionals unparalleled access to leading global technology, solutions and knowledge with the aim of promoting expertise in life safety.

Returning to London’s ExCeL for a second year, FIREX International will be located in the south hall alongside IFSEC International as the organisers recognise the increased convergence between the two industries.

Gerry Dunphy, Event Director for IFSEC & FIREX International said: “We are really excited to bring FIREX International back to London for another year; we have made some really positive changes in both the layout and content to ensure we are providing the right mixture of innovative fire-safety solutions with the latest thought-leadership and unrivalled networking. Our new location alongside IFSEC International will allow our visitors a seamless experience between the two events.”

FIREX International will once again have major support from the industry, the Fire Industry Association (FIA), Fire Protection Association (FPA), Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) and the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) all return in 2015 as key partners to the show, providing a wealth of information and all the latest industry updates.

Returning after a successful launch in 2014 is Security & Fire Installer Live, where experts will be on hand to present live demos and test the kit to the extreme so visitors can see for themselves the limits products can be pushed to. Also returning to FIREX International in 2015 is the FIREX Academy and the IFSEC & FIREX Global Meetings programme.

“2015 is set to be another transformational year for FIREX International, it is great to be hosting the event once again in London, the leading city in life safety, we look forward to announcing further exciting details in the coming weeks,” added Dunphy.

Neil Ashdown (left) of the FDIS will be holding a seminar on day one of the event on the subject of:

The Critical Role of Fire Doors in Saving Lives and Protecting Property - Helping Building Operators meet their Legal and Social Obligations.

It will cover fire door law and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the UK's fire door inspection scheme - raising awareness of defective fire doors and the importance of effective routines for the inspection, maintenance and repair of fire doors. There will be case studies of the challenges that property managers and others face with fire door management and examples of good and bad practice of fire door installation and maintenance.

A couple of familiar faces are also exhibiting at Firex. The ISCE are on Stand C36 and Prestige Fire Door Services are on stand A161.

FIREX International 2015 takes place from 16th – 18th June at ExCeL London. For more information about FIREX International 2015, visit www.firex.co.uk.
