Finding a craftsman

Ecclesiastical & Heritage World Guild of Mastercraftsmen logoFinding a reliable and honest tradesman these days can be a minefield. It’s difficult enough just avoiding the cowboys for jobs around the house let alone for specialist jobs for heritage and ecclesiastical work where high levels of skill and competence are needed. The Guild of Master Craftsmen only accepts members who can prove their skill and integrity which is why they are always in demand.

Ecclesiastical & Heritage World Guild of Mastercraftsmen picEmploying a craftsman requires careful consideration, ideally you would have a recommendation from a business contact, close friend or relative; however this is not always possible, this is where our unique web search directory will help, www.findacraftsman.com. This is the only website to list members of The Guild of Master Craftsmen exclusively, so if you need a craftsman who you can trust then you are likely to find someone near you with a few clicks of the mouse.

As well as traditional builders, carpenters and skilled tradesmen, Guild membership includes many specialist craftsmen, designers, artists, renovators upholsterers and more than a hundred other trades. In the past we have been able to help customers with requests for soft furnishers to work on repairs in Kuwait; a glass restorer to work on a 200 year old glass goblet; building restorers to repair a wooden mosaic frieze on a house; and a request from Germany for enamellers to make reproduction jewellery. A great strength of our membership is the diversity of our members across many skills and crafts.

Joining the Guild. Membership is not automatic but if you take pride in the work you do and your customers are the most important people to you then you could be exactly the type of person we would like as a member.
