Heritage Craft Alliance launch new level 3 advanced apprenticeship in traditional craft skills PDF Print E-mail

A brand new apprenticeship qualification, delivered over 2 years, seeking to prepare our apprentices to fill the growing skills gap in the built heritage skills workforce.

Students who have already achieved a level 2 in contemporary craft studies or equivalent (or have a minimum of 5 years experience on site) can now enrol on our two year, level 3 advanced apprenticeship, which delivers craft skills and knowledge covering traditional, historic and contemporary building. As with all national apprenticeships students will be fully employed throughout.

The apprenticeships on offer cover either masonry skills or wood occupations with all specialisms.

Included in all the new frameworks:

  • Construction technology
  • Materials science
  • Measurement
  • Technical drawing
  • Tools and techniques
  • Along with substantial craft training covering a wide range and depth of skills
